Roberta Petrucci

Roberta is a paediatrician and is stationed at the MSF headquarters in Geneva. From there, she provides support to the projects in paediatrics and neonatal care. Roberta, who is from Italy, regularly travels out to the field herself. Recently she was in South Sudan, where she held training courses in newborn care.

Roberta values always «having to start over» in her work. Even though she possesses all of the required expertise, in the respective operational areas she is reliant on local colleagues and mothers to teach her everything else she needs to know. Because for her it’s clear that «we can’t just go there with our culture, our ideas».
