Even when she began studying medicine, Sabine was already eager to work for MSF. Now this Zurich-born doctor works for the organisation in Agok, South Sudan, where she mainly treats severely malnourished children.
Initially, Sabine had to get used to the rudimentary diagnostic facilities and limited treatment options. She would like to be able to offer her patients more, but sometimes the situation almost makes her feels closer to them. When she witnesses the recovery of a malnourished child or malaria patient, such «moments of happiness» always give her a boost.
