Jean-Guy Audéoud

Cartographer

27-year-old Jean Guy from France works for MSF as a cartographer. For the Ebola project in Sierra Leone, he is responsible for all of the map materials that the MSF teams need to carry out their work. This includes plans of the districts affected by Ebola as well as maps that illustrate where the epidemic hotspots are.

In order to capture all the necessary data, he sends his «GPS men» out on motorbikes to their designated areas, where they enthusiastically map out points before delivering them back to Jean Guy in the evening. He finds it amazing that he can use his inherently abstract work as an innovative way of contributing towards the fight against Ebola.
