Since secondary school, Reena had always «wanted to help people». In 2014, the raging Ebola epidemic in West Africa gave her that opportunity. As HR coordinator for the MSF project in Freetown, Sierra Leone, the Canadian native took care of all aspects of human resource management, from planning and recruitment to paying wages and arranging the end of the mission.
Reena had specifically requested to work on an Ebola project. Her initial nervousness wore off quickly when she realised that, in spite of everything, life went on «as normal».
