Ghazal Sotoudeh

How do you leave everything behind, in a fraction of a second, to go into the unknown? 34-year-old Ghazal, who escaped from Iran to France with her mother as a child, knows exactly how that feels.

Now she works in Beirut, Lebanon, as a communications manager for MSF and reports on the Syrian refugee situation. She knows from her own experience how much good it does to have somebody who will listen to you, to whom you can tell your story. She is confident that, through her reporting, she can give people some of their dignity back.
